Pizza Surprise

Cody and Bella's parents worked all day. They never got to have fun. They left for work at six in the morning and came back at dinner time.
"I wish we could do something special for mom and dad."Cody said, sighing.
"Yeah, we can make pizza for dinner."Bella exclaimed."We can make the dough and everything!"
Cody grinned, agreeing with Bella. They decided that Bella would make the dough and Cody would make pizza sauce. Bella mixed all the ingredients and rolled out the dough. Cody started to put all the elements into the blender.
Bella rolled the dough onto a pizza pan, while Cody smeared pizza sauce onto the pizza.
"And now for the cheese!"Bella said, using her best British accent.
"Yes please. Add some veggies!"Cody exclaimed, laughing.
They quickly put the timer for seventeen minutes and put the pizza in the oven.It was going to take a while to bake, so the kids decide to play a board game.
     "Bella it's your turn!Hurry up!"Cody demanded.
"Ok, I'm going. You are so bossy!"Bella retorted. utterly annoyed.
"Oh?I'm bossy? You are the one telling me what to do. I know how to make pizza!"Cody yelled.
Cody and Bella started to fight. Suddenly, they smelled something burning.
"The pizza!"They both screamed in unison.
   The pizza had become burnt.
"What are we going to do?"cried Cody. "Mom and Dad are going to be home soon!"
As the kids started to panic, their parents walked through the door and stared at them.
"Mom, Dad, we're so sorry! We were trying to make pizza for dinner, but it became burnt!"Cody said, disappointed. "We know you work so-------------"
"It's okay, guys."Mom interrupted, smiling. "We really appreciated the thought."
"Yeah, guys."Dad said, smiling. "Now, who wants to go out for some pizza?"
"We do!"the kids yelled, hugging their parents.
     "Alright, then.Let's go!"they said.
The family walked down to the pizza place, smiling.

Quote Response

Nothing is impossible, we should never stop trying. "Impossible is a word only to be found in the dictionary of fools"(Napoleon Bonaparte). When something gets in the way of our path, we give up easily. We don't even take a chance. Nothing is impossible, because we can achieve it. Impossible is a word that should not exist in the world. We can achieve just about everything, if we try.
There are times in which you may think that it is impossible, but you should give it a try. If you are a fool, you will do the easy thing and give up. Most of us are very determined and we will seek victory. For example, I was watching a movie in which a man was very depressed. His friend told him not to worry and that nothing was impossible. So, he took a tube of toothpaste and squeezed out every ounce. Then he told his friend, oh yeah?, okay, shove all this toothpaste back in the tube. It was very funny, because it was not expected, but it was not impossible. You can shove all the toothpaste back inside, even if it may take a while. Then, one day, in the fifth grade, we went to Camp Bernie. My friend looked at the climbing tower and immediately thought that it was impossible to climb. I decided that I would prove her wrong. I put on a harnest, and made my way up the climbing tower, even though it was oozing with ladybugs. It was so disgusting, yet I climbed up to the topand rang the bell, proving to her that it wasn't impossible.
People may think that fighting your way through peace would be impossible. But, Mohandas Gandhi proved them wrong. During the British invasion in India, Gandhi fasted and led India to freedom, not with war, but with peace. He taught us lessons that we would have never realized. He did it without a single ounce of fighting or war. He fought for India's independence without even eating. He gave up so much for his nation. He did not believe in violence. He showed us that it is possible to get your way without violence.
It is not impossible to do anything. We should not believe in giving up, but believe in victory. Sure, things like riding a magic pink flying horse may be impossible, but who knows? We haven't been proved scientifically wrong yet. I am trying to tell you that maybe your dreams may come true. Just remember, nothing is impossible and you can still do it, no matter what.

Random Locker Searches

Dear Superintendent O'Malley,
According to J.K. Rowling,"We must all face the choice between what is right and what is easy." It is not right to invade somebody'sprivacy, but it would be easier for our public schools if the percentage of students bringing illegal paraphernelia to school. The Edison School Board has submitted a recent proposal to allow randow locker searches in public schools. Allowing these searches is not enlisted in our checklists. These searches will only be an invasion of privacy, misplace student belongings, and waste time.
Privacy is very important to everybody. We don't like to reveal our secrets to just anyone and kep hings to ourselves. A female student may bring feminine neccessities to school. A student might feel ashamed of their poor grades and hide them in their locker. If the administration invades their personal belongings, astudent may feel embarrased. We want our students to feel comfortable. However, these students can just carry these neccessities around with them to classes.Wrong. These students will most likely put everything they carry into their locker when they don't need it.
During these searches, some items may get misplaced or stolen. The person who is searching the locker may put items into a different location. A student may remember exactly where they put their homework, and find out that it is put somewhere else. They may not be able to find it and then recieve no credit for the assignment. The person who is searcing the locker may leave something outside the locker near it. They may not realize and just leave it there. Somebody can come along and steal that item. Misplaced and stolen items will become a problem for the school and they will be the ones paying for the items. It will decrease the school's popularity and attract negative attention. However, a student can be more organized so they wouldn't have to dislocate everything. Wrong. The searcher will most likely locate everything to a new spot.
Wasting time is not the correct answer. The adminstration could be doing something else that would bring positive attention to the school and would benefit the school in some way. They could go to workshops or bring more supplies for the school. Going through every single locker would take up so much time that it would decrease school popularity. However, the staff can split up the jobs. Wrong. This would only retard the process with less staff members.
It is clearly evident that these locker searches will bring many negative effects than positive. Nobody wants their secrets revealed and have their items misplaced or even stolen. The schools want the adminstration to work harder, not retard the process. It is difficult to choose between right and easy, but this time, we just need to choose right and complete the task.
                                                                                                                      Sincerely,
                                                                                                                 Parthi Dasondi
