Tweet It!
Teachers and Twitter fit together perfectly. Teachers can use Twitter to differentiate learning experiences for students. Many students have Twitter accounts, so it would be easy for them to check any important or upcoming assignments. For all the people who don’t know, Twitter is a social networking website. It is a good digital tool for teachers. They can exchange ideas with other teachers to find new ways to make learning fun for students. Twitter makes it easy to post short messages to the Web, and anybody can see it and respond to it. If a teacher cannot make it to a meeting, they could simply Tweet that they will not make it instead of making an unnecessary phone call. Twitter is a much better, faster digital tool to use in the classroom.
If you don’t have the time to write it, Tweet it! Twitter is the perfect tool to use in the classroom. It differentiates and breaks down the learning experiences for students. A recent poll states that 70% of students prefer the Twitter network for sharing ideas. It is true. Twitter is a swift network that quickly tells the reader what is going with the other individual. Exchanging ideas encourages students to get better grades and work harder to perfect their assignments. It is a situation where both sides win. It gives students the courage to be more sociable at school.
Students are commenting, specifically stating “Twitter will help us stay more organized instead of going through every single one of your papers in your binder.” In my opinion, Twitter will keep students more organized. They can simply save more time by saving a document to their Twitter. They can quickly get back to the document, instead of searching through an incredibly messy binder. You may think of Twitter as an insecure network, but you are wrong. The teachers will have entire access to the students’ accounts.
It is important to be social in your life. Students will be allowed to chat once in a while, but nothing serious. If you really think about it, Twitter helps students’ use of technology improve. They get used to the fact that they are growing up while using technology and this can have a good impact on their future. The future is waiting, so we might as well prepare ourselves. Twitter shows you how to attach small documents, post videos, copy and paste, etc. It differentiates your learning experience.
Twitter is an excellent tool. What is there not to like about it? Students and even teachers can exchange ideas. Teachers always like to twist up their teaching style to make it amazing. It helps keep students in place and keeps them sophisticated. It helps them from having a frantic panic attack. Twitter teaches any kind of person the creative ways of technology. It gives us a better outlook on our future. Remember, if you don’t have time to write it tomorrow, Tweet it!

Santa: Young or Old?

A little girl walks into the mall holding hands with her mom. She is practically dragging her mom to the big red chair that Santa is sitting on. Her smile becomes wider than ever, but then fades as she sees the true age of her hero. A young male in his late twenties is perched upon the throne trying to say "HOHOHO!" in a jolly, elderly voice. He is coughing in mid sentence. The little girl looks disappointed that the real Santa wasn't there to take a picture with her.
Most people sitting in the red chair at the mall on Christmas Eve are probably going to be young. They are just sitting there with a fake beard, crooked glasses, and a plastic smile. Well, young people usually might take this job for the money. They need the money since they are growing up and they need to get used to the fact that their parents aren't going to pay for them anymore. They try to look their best for the kids, but they usually don't succeed. It is a good thing that they understand everything, and it is great that they are taking any job that they can.
The kids' smile is usually the widest when their is a actual-looking Santa sitting in the chair. The love to whisper their wishes into their ears. Yes, I am talking about an elderly person. They make the best Santa. It is usually hard to find a older Santa. In my opinion, I would prefer the older Santa. They give it the Christmas feeling. They have the nice, kind smile that gives you a warm feeling in your stomach that everything will be alright. It could brighten up your day. This year, I want to take my picture with any kind of Santa. No matter what, it will be a great Christmas! :)   Pic: jk!!

Dear Santa,

Everybody has dreams. Everybody should have the chance to reach them and live them. My one and only dream is to someday become famous. By famous I mean is to walk the red carpet, sing on stage, and get chased by thousands of fans. So, this year I am asking you for a ticket to California. You see, I live all the way in Edison. New Jersey. So I have no way to possibly audition for something here. I know that this is a very hard present to give, but it is only one time. Please!!!!
This ticket will be the most important thing to me. There is a bigger chance that it will not be there on Christmas, but hey, a girl can dream. If you cannot get me the ticket, I hope to get some clothes from Abercrombie, Aeropostale, and my own curling iron. This ticket will show me hope, that one day I will be able to live my dream. People will look at me and say “ Hey, look at the girl who everybody said couldn't make it, and she did!”
Everybody deserves the chance to live their dreams. I deserve the chance to live my dream. I don’t know if I deserve this or not, but I think I do , because I have always been the girl everybody said I was. I let people be my friend, and mostly because I wasn’t afraid to tell everybody what my biggest dream was. Some people would probably laugh at me, but I don’t care.
I hope that I get this ticket. It could be the start of something new. I want to discover the real person in me, who was hiding all along. Its okay if its not there. I want to thank you for all the other time s you made me smile. Thank you.

                                                                                                                                    Sincerely,
                                                                                                                             Parthi Dasondi

What is Thanksgiving?

What is Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving is a time for thanks, and love. It is the day to be thankful for everything you have. It all started in 1621, at Plymouth. The pilgrims were celebrating their first harvest, and they had a three day feast. Whoa! Imagine having a three day feast! We all know that the native Americans joined the pilgrims in this festive celebration. They were specifically known as Wampanoag tribe. 90 Wampanoag people and 50 pilgrims attended. That is actually a big amount of people, back then. The pilgrims didn't actually call the vent in 1621, "Thanksgiving". Th day of Thanksgiving was actually very different for the colonists. It was actually a day to pray to God, but only when something really good happened. They actually had their first Thanksgiving in the summer of 1623, where they gave thanks for the rain that ended a long, dry drought.
So, what is Thanksgiving to you? I actually don't celebrate it with the big feast and everything. I only have a nice time with my family at home. To me, that is my Thanksgiving. The time where you are happiest. Give thanks for that moment. I wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving!

I am grateful for..............

Parthi Dasondi
There is one thing that I will always be thankful for.I will always be thankful for my parents. My parents are the reason that I am here. My parents are the reason I achieve goals and do great things. My parents are my whole life. Without my parents and my family, I don’t know where I would be right now. I am thankful to them because they gave me my life and that is one thing that I will honor forever, because being you is the most important challenge you will ever come across. I thank my parents for giving me that challenge, because they know that I will be able to achieve it. My parents’ smile is the world for me. I love my parents more than I love myself. When I see their smiles, there is  nothing I could ever want. My parents help me with work, problems, and doing what is right. In life, there is always something to be thankful for, but, you should always honor what your parents do for you and always love them. I will always need my parents. They have made me what I am today, a great person.

Satire in my Life: The Girls' Locker Room

Ahh, the girls' locker room. Man, what is it? First of all, it smells like somebody forgot where the real bathroom was. Then, your clothes end up smelling like sweat, and the SCENT!! The locker is a small little thing. I mean, where did they get workers to build them? A  store? Well, there's a shocker! Anyways, if I want to go to school, I have to live with it.

Halloween!

Halloween is a lot of kids' favorite holiday. Dressing up, eating candy, and having fun. You can do whatever. But is it safe? Halloween can be a spooky time too. There are lots of strangers out there in the dark. I would suggest going at 4 o'clock. Do not stay loooong outside, it could be dangerous. Some rules ar: stay safe, always have a parent, dress up nicely, do not do anything bad, and stay happy. It's good to have fun. When it's Halloween, you sure will need that sugary candy for energy!
One of the weirdest and most scariest trick or treating days for me was one day when I was about seven years old. I was in one of the blocks in my neighborhood with my friend. There was one of the houses with these rocking decorations. We thought it was really cool, so we decided to go there. It was then when we noticed a teenage girl laying lazily on the front steps. She was dressed up as a really freaky zombie. We weren't afraid. So, we went up to her house for candy. As soon as I said" tr-----", she jumped up and roared like a really scary person. Then she started cackling like some kind of insane idiot. And let me tell, that scared the living heck out of me. She then started taking small steps towards us. I ran and ran as fast as I could to my house. As soon as I broke through the front door, I was panting. I decide never to go to that house for Halloween again. Even with my mom!!!

Patriotism

                               Does Patriotism Still Matter?
Patriotism is one of the most important things in the world. Did you ever at least take five minutes of your time to remember how you are what you are now? When I hear patriotism , I think of the flag, soldiers, honor, society, independence, all these words come to mind. But, have you looked up the word patriotism yet?
Does patriotism still matter? Yes! Of course! It matters because there are still soldiers out there, fighting for you. They probably don’t even know you, but they still fight. So many soldiers are giving up their lives, just for you, because you deserve the chance to live and be free.  Patriotism means love, support, loyalty, for your country. Maybe there is something we can do. Many people write letters to veterans and soldiers and send canned goods. If we started collecting money for a good cause and helped pay for wounds and surgery and medication, we may be able to make a difference in a soldier’s life. Remember that even you could start the world’s biggest chain reaction.
We celebrate July 4th and November 11th with fireworks and balloons. We have parties and celebrations. We honor the people who serve us. When you are there, watching the sky as it changes from colors from red, to white, to blue, you remember all those happy times you had and those sad ones. You have fun with your family and friends and make the most of it. You might see people looking up at the stars and crying because they know that they made the right choice and let their children fight.
Everyday, you get up and say The Pledge of Allegiance.  You say it for a reason. You are making a pledge to you country and don’t be afraid to stand up and salute for what’s right.  Be the different one who does things for the right cause. The time is now, for you to make a change, and start something new, because every cloud has a silver lining.

Ralph Fletcher's Moving Sentences

Ralph Fletcher is an amazing author. His words and sentences in his book,When I Was a Kid, he writes about his childhood. some sentences made you feel sad and some made you feel happy, but there were some that just moved you, like you have never heard something so incredible.
In his vignette,Marshfield,he writes "More than once I tried and left behind one of my sneakers, a lost sole sunk forever at the bottom of the swamp." (Fletcher, 2005,pg.5). At first I did not understand what he meant by "sole", but then I realized he was referring to his sneaker! What an interesting little twist with words! As soon as I understood what Fletcher was talking about, I thought about how he made the sentence so simple but different from others.
in another vignette, First Pen, Fletcher wrote an unusual question. I was absolutely amused at how he made the question seem so simple yet original at the same time! He wrote, "What words were hidden----unborn,unwritten----in all that unused ink?".(Fletcher,2005,pg.44) Whoa!! That sentence was all about ink. Can you imagine writing about ink and coming up with a sentence like this one? There is a word for this, extraordinary. Ralph Fletcher is extraordinary. He is writing about his first pen, but he wrote it as if he were talking about a mysterious vista. Here, in my words, I think he is saying that there are soooo many words waiting to be written down on your paper, and when it is time, they will come to you.

Christmas Morning..........disaster or miracle?

You all probably know very well about Christmas. Big fat bearded guy, 7 oh so magical reindeer, and the majestic snow.....well it's just slushy mush, yada yada yada. For me, my first Christmas morning was totally different. At that time I was super duper scared of Santa Clause! So, here it goes. I woke up extremely early. My eyes hurt from the sunlight pouring into my room. Then, I realized it was Christmas. My brother woke up and looked up at me with his big, googly eyes. I laughed. My brother and I rushed downstairs. Before I reached the bottom of the stairs, I grabbed my baseball bat. Now, here comes the part where I am afraid of Santa. I cautiously walk down the stairs. Then, with a rush of adrenaline, I scream at the top of my very stretched out lungs, " Im gonna get you fatty in a red suit! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Hai-ya!!! My voice suddenly died down, because SANTA WASN'T THERE!!!! But, I did see the presents. The next thing I knew was that I was tearing the cheap wrapping paper off,[and trust me that thing came off easily].I then ran upstairs. I said " mommy look what Santa gave me!". My mom would only groan and tell me to go back to sleep. Even now, I still check for Santa before I open my presents!!!

Celebrities........

Have you ever wondered what it was like to be a celeb? You get to live the dream, stage dive, hear those screaming fans, those applause... Well, there's soooooo much more to that. Behind those special smiles, they might be screaming. They all say the same thing, " I love my fans. They r the whole reason that I have reached this point." Sometimes, you think, why don't they give me a chance to be like this, I have a talent that's ready to burst!!!! But, you might not know how it really is. They have no privacy or freedom. There is paparazzi almost everywhere. Wouldn't you want to do something without it being all over the news? This is almost what every celebrity goes through. Even they wish they were just regular. They might even be forced to perform when they don't want to. My favorite celb is Selena Gomez. I love her, but I also feel bad for her. So next time when you think of becoming famous, be grateful for the life you have, you never know...............

Pros and Cons of 6th grade

U might like middle school, you might not. But, u just have to do what you want. Some bad things about middle school are that you might have the teeniest, tiniest locker ever. There are these humongo lockers in front of ours and it's like they are mocking us. Grrrrrrrr. But as the year goes on, you will get used to it. For me, right now, that's the only con. Some pros are you get to switch classes, which is good because times sorta moves faster. You get a locker, so you don't have to be stuck with the same stuff. And, how cool is it to learn different subjects in different rooms!!!!!! Isn't that nice. If you wanna survive you should look at the pros more often...... To all you people who aren't that sure.... Well, it happens to everybody. I think...... This is me signing off...peace

Middle School

Middle school, is middle school. U never know what's gonna happen. Middle school for me is such an amazing experience. It's like everything that everyone said is true. They say that u will not survive the wild jungle of middle school, but I know I will. From super easy homework to switching classes. Wow it's a big jump. I never thought of it this way but middle school is somewhere u can learn how to improve. Even though it's just school, you might say, it's made people feel like they can get somewhere in life. My first day at HHMS was not what I expected. The teachers knew how you felt and they let you get used to it. So to all you people who r still having a rough time with middle school, remember that there is always some there to help you. So just ask . Now , let's take a look at the future, think of how those sixth graders will be asking you for advice. You will say ,omg I survived middle school!!!

PS I am a sixth grade rocket at Herbert Hoover Middle School

What's up?

So what's up guys. I'm sitting at home on a Saturday , boringgggggg. So if u have any ideas give something to talk about..... Later
